JR Casillas

J.R. was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but moved to Missoula during middle school. After graduating high school at Sentinel, J.R. attended The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington where he was on the basketball team. J.R. eventually transferred back home and graduated from the University of Montana in 2004. Thereafter, J.R. was accepted into law school, moving to Omaha, Nebraska and attending Creighton University. Go Jays! During law school J.R. worked as a summer intern at Datsopoulos, MacDonald & Lind in Missoula, where he would later become an associate, partner, and shareholder attorney before moving his practice to Orr McDonnell Law.

J.R. brings a wealth of litigation experience to every matter, having successfully represented clients in a wide range of complex disputes. However, he firmly believes that litigation should be a last resort, as it is often costly, time-consuming, and quite stressful. J.R. focuses on identifying creative solutions and leveraging problem-solving strategies to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively. Whether through negotiation, mediation, or other alternative methods, J.R. is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients without unnecessary conflict whenver possible.

In his free time, J.R. enjoys spending time with his spouse and their two children. He is also an avid basketball official and enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and traveling.
